Joey Schmidt

Joey Schmidt has served as Secretary of the Travis County ESD #6 (Lake Travis Fire Rescue) Firefighters’ Relief & Retirement Fund since December 4, 2024. In this role, he supports the Board of Trustees by maintaining official records, documenting board actions, and assisting in the administration and governance of the retirement fund.

Joey is a 10-year veteran of Lake Travis Fire Rescue and currently holds the rank of Engineer. He serves on C-Shift and is assigned to Fire Station #606, located off Hamilton Pool Road near the Travis County line. In his operational role, he is responsible for operating and maintaining fire apparatus, supporting emergency response efforts, and helping protect the communities served by Travis County Emergency Services District #6.

Through both his service in the field and his role on the Board, Joey is committed to supporting his fellow firefighters and contributing to the long-term strength and reliability of the retirement system.
